The location of the house was perfect, being close to shops and the shore. The house was exceptionally clean and well-furnished, with everything well thought out. The host was friendly and caring, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. The house had been refurbished to a high standard, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.
The steep stairs in the house may be a challenge for older guests, although it wouldn't be a deal breaker for a return visit.

The garden was lovely, great for pretending I was a nature enthusiast! The nearest airport being 31 km away was perfect for those spontaneous last-minute getaways. The towels in the holiday home were a real game-changer - no need to bring my own!
Oh, how I missed my warm blankets! It's always fun to shiver through the night, isn't it?

I had the most incredible stay at Angus House, the 2 Bedroom House on the NC500 Route in Thurso. The location was absolutely perfect, just steps away from the beautiful beach. The house itself was immaculate and had a wonderful design. What really stood out to me was the love and respect for its heritage that was evident throughout. It felt like I was visiting a dear friend who had opened up their intimate space to me. The history of the house, which was prepared by the host, added such a special touch. It truly was a unique experience and a story I can't wait to share. I almost want to keep this place my little secret because I don't want anyone else to spoil its charm.
The only slight inconvenience was that the bathroom was on the first floor while the bedrooms were on the second floor. It was a bit uncomfortable having to go up and down the stairs.

We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money we got at the Angus House. The room was really good, well-furnished and impeccably clean. The location was ideal, just a few steps away from the beautiful beach, and the convenience of having shops nearby was a bonus. The staff treated us with exceptional friendliness and care throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal better would be the addition of a warm blanket or two.
